Located only 15 minutes west of Traverse City, Mistwood has established a reputation as one of the finest public courses in northern Michigan. The 27 hole championship Jerry Mathews design has three distinctive nines that are challenging but fair. The par 3 Little Nine with holes ranging from 60-125 is a course for all ages to enjoy and a great place to learn the game.  The Mistwood complex also includes a practice range with target greens, a sand bunker and three putting greens.  The Sunset Grille has a full bar and an outdoor deck that provides a friendly place to relax over drinks and dinner.  A large tent-covered patio is available for outings and cookouts.

Designed by George Woolfred, the Maple Hill golf course opened in 1968. The Spruce is a classic design that can be enjoyed by all levels of players. The terrain features a mix of flat and rolling fairways as well as some very challenging holes.  Spruce would actually play quite easily, except for the scattered pines and hardwoods that line the fairways, making shot placement off the tee a priority. Four par-4's play at 400-plus yards, with three more at around 390, proving ample opportunity to use your driver off the tee.

In its 78-year history (founded in 1926), it has undergone countless changes and updates that have touched literally every hole.
