Compared to the busy and bustling scene in and around Chicago, the interior region of Illinois is much quieter and more secluded. That doesn’t mean you won’t find a good number of classic, tree-lined golf courses. Some of the state’s hidden gems can be found here in the shadows of historic Route 66, and they happen to be convenient to not only the Windy City, but to St. Louis and Indianapolis as well.
