Black Forest Golf Course - Gaylord

Black Forest, the biggest surprise, and best value in Gaylord. Before architect Tom Doak gave us Pacific Dunes, Cape Kidnappers, and restored Pasatiempo, he designed this course in 1991. Doak, who lives in Traverse City, says this is where he started experimenting with some of the bunkering concepts he uses today. Golf Digest rates Black Forest as being just as much golf course as Arcadia Bluffs or Forest Dunes, and for $75, it’s about one-third of the price.
